I'll be honest, letting unappreciative people impact the way you choose to show up is rooted in needing external validation. Just because someone hasn't appreciated a gesture that genuinely comes from what I like to do ain't ever going to stop me from doing it for another. I don't have expectations about how others should receive and validate my efforts. They land with some people and don't with others. Doesn't change how I move. All that just to say, if buying flowers is something you like to do because you're the type of man that enjoys doing thoughtful things, then do it regardless. Cause honestly that's more about the man you are than the man you contort yourself to be to achieve a specific outcome. Romance shouldn't be transactional. So don't make it and don't entertain others who do.

also bc yall dating through dating apps and social media, I met my bf in person and we instantly clicked. We didn’t have to prove we liked eachother we just did. We didn’t have to audition or perform anything, we met eachother without knowing any tinder profile descriptions, any Instagram stories to look at, or any social feed to go through.
