crazy that people see this in defend him. he literally wasn't even trying to play offense. he wasn't passing people with intention of giving them good shots he was saying here's the ball you do something with it. this is proof of why he was so bad as a player. he wasn't driving and kicking to get guys open looks the issue with him not passing the ball and taking 40 shots a game was that he was taking contested jumpers over two or three defenders instead of passing to an open guy here he isn't being aggressive at all and he's just giving them the ball to prove that they can't do anything with it. he wouldn't have gotten criticized for his play if he was giving them the ball within the structure of the offense. he wants to say his team was trash but he was doing nothing to uplift them and put them in the best position to win or do anything with the ball. passively giving them the ball and telling Phoenix hey I'm not playing on offense tonight you can guard them instead of me isn't helping anything. and asking the four other guys on the court to do things that were outside of the role isn't helping either. he literally quit on his team. the teammates that he says were so bad but they're the ones who help build the 3-1 lead against Phoenix they were up 3-1 in that series so they were good enough to win three of the first four games as his teammates 2 of those games Kobe wasn't the leading scorer of the team. so his team is ass but won 2 games where they contributed as much or more than Kobe. but he decides in that moment to quit on his team because the media dared to ask him if he takes too many shots
