I have dozens of stories of this. It’s why we end up having no choice but to self diagnose and learn everything we can before seeing a doctor again. We have to prove to them we have symptoms and are sick or hurt. The stories I have shock people, but not other medical professionals. Some of the, correctly guess the locations or doctors that the stories are tied to! BECAUSE THEY’VE HEARD HORROR STORIES CONSTANTLY FROM PATIENTS AND KNOW THE CARE GIVEN IS SHIT 😭😭😭 it’s so infuriating. And then we get told “doctor google” isn’t reliable, meanwhile the doctor IS USING GOOGLE IN THE VISIT.

I had a GP dismiss high blood sugar levels for two years because I ‘don’t look diabetic’. Turns out I have Type 1 diabetes. Another doctor who was reviewing my old labs immediately tested me and my BG was over 300 and I hadn’t eaten at all that day

I just went to er and day before I was so lightheaded and dissy I couldn't work bc bending over made it worse and my heart rate and blood pressure was high asf and I raised my feet above my head like Google said and this was me doing after 4 hours of this lightheaded dissy like symptoms and I took a 30 min nap and felt better and next day I got to work feel extremely off and I've been extremely fatigued for few weeks and my jobs gave me a aspirin that made me feel better but they said I felt clamy and cold and that's why I went to er bc my BP was high still they asked if I was pregnant or diabetic or high blood pressure and I have no history of anything but anyways at ER they said all the test they did came out normal and said I had a cold and was little dehydrated....bruh ain't no way I had just a cold w those crazy symptoms and dehydrated bc I drink a lot of water .....I made a appointment w my primary bc I thought maybe I had pots or something and I've always been paranoid of my heart so I have cardiologist..even my amcare at my job w Amazon said sounds like I have irregular heart beat and after 10th beat sounds off . and not only that I have an appointment w GI doctor... but before this weekend I had two weeks of blood in my stool and all the er did was check my butt hole and didn't see anything and sent me home to wait for go doctor appointment Oct 14th..... yes bleeding stopped but I know it was something serious..they laughed at me bc I thought it was butt cancer and said I'm to young for that...
