#lumine / #traveler | she means sm to me. for this edit, okay i know the song technically is just sad(?), but i wanted to capture both hope and also the wistfulness that the traveler carries. i feel like the traveler (im going to say traveler and lumine interchangeably bc shes the one im editing obvi) has a lot of nuance in the sense that many people either characterize her as either completely unfeeling or overly like selfless, when shes displayed and even had her own monologue about how shes not entirely selfless and has her own motives. however, i dislike the misconception that just because shes trying to find the truth as her brother instructed, that suddenly none of teyvat matters to her, when she clearly not only values paimon (hebce the quote about her missing paimon and growing attached to teyvat thru her) but also goes out of her way to assist others and help certain characters when it technically wasnt even in her favor. in my edit i also wanted to capture her overall mindset - the traveler is pretty mature and inspirational. shes able to be objective while still maintaining feelings and grasping nuance/understanding emotions within situations, especially because of how much experience shes had throughout worlds and her journey, which i feel often gets overlooked. shes not an entirely shy person, but can be reserved. however shes thoughtful and notices when things are amiss and uses her power to make it right, all with a positive outlook on the workd and careying her resolve still. she means a lot to different characters because of her strong empathy and her ability to give cnstructive advice and provide solace and comfort to others. her sense of justice is pretty strong, which we see with her trying to complete wanderers story, help nations, and confront her harbinger friends about stuzha — all of which prove that shes genuinely caring and compassionate. i like that traveler can match whoever theyre with. sometimes she adopts a playful nature, other times shes awkward and relatable, and other times shes able to be all of those and let go. that said, i think shes still pretty guarded, as nobody gets told the full extent (tho shes transparent w paimon for the most part) and she still carries her burdens herself, despite the fact she does so much for other chars. we also see that she is kind of trying to be detached or closed off from fully integrating into teyvat (hence the quote i used) but still manages to help others and actually IS getting attached. even thoshes not necessarily human, she feels like one of the most human chars to me for her complicated character and different personality aspects, and how others view or perceive her as someone who introduces them to humanity - its not about actually being human, but rather exhibiting traits of warmth and trustworthiness, but also carrying depth and not just being reduced to one trait. hence for the ‘love i dont get back’ i include her quote about the unreciprocated energy/how shes received many hardships from others despite giving so much. also this is very unstructured im just saying anything that comes to mind - most of my captions are written on a whim bc i want to capture my exact thought process and im also not taking it FULLY seriously😅 anyway i feel like lumine has this energy to her thats very uplifting, so i wanted to include that vibe of her personality and her quotes about facing life head on and persevering with resolve, because i feel like theyre pretty inspirational. #GenshinImpact #izxyzzz #genshin genshin impact traveler lumine edit knuckle velvet ethel cain - @izxyzzz
