Cultural Exchange! When I visited Japan this spring, the highlight for me was the Hakone Open-Air Museum which has a very similar vibe. Giant sculptures and artworks in a large garden that takes a couple of hours to walk through.

Yayyyy you when to ground for sculpture! I love just by there! And I’m exploring Japan right now!! What a coincidence. There’s hundreds of secret sculptures deeply hidden in the woods on the grounds! You always find something new every visit!

i highly recommend visiting BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in robbinsville! it's the biggest hindu temple in the western hemisphere! it is absolutely stunning--it made me emotional. you can't film inside, but you can outside. the volunteers are extremely friendly and welcoming to all. i believe they have japanese guide books, too! it's a must see if you're still in the area :)
