I think they are looking for food, lots of them in SF bay earlier this year. Krill up north is missing, krill off the coast victims of El Niño upwelling HABs offshore. Central coast is having a long and massive bird die off and now domoic in mammals. It’s bad right now and is only going to get worse when this Kelvin cat shows up. Rather depressing rabbit hole to do down if you look up the central coast rescue numbers.
