Thank you for saying this! I come from a quebecois french family that has anger towards people who speak english. And when i try to explain them this, they don't understand at all. I am bilingual, and proud of it, and the way that you have said this is EXACTLY how most of us bilingual quebecois think! We need more people like you🫶

that’s actually such a nice take on it, that it’s being accommodating and nice. not to put a damper on this but i’m pretty sure people working in customer service are required to say it to greet people, i’ve even heard friends say they got told off for saying “hi, bonjour” instead of “bonjour, hi” because certain french people here insist on french always being first 😭 but your view is very sweet it’s nice to hear
