My daughter is echolalic and has perseverative speech when stimming. It can be overwhelming. I find switching to songs she likes easier to bare when I'm absolutely exhausted. A nice loud 🎶When there's something strange in the neighborhood who gona call?🎶 It might take a couple times but then I get to hear an entire song instead of 2-5 of the same words when my patience feels like it might fail me.
