South Africans paid the debt during Thabo Mbeki's presidency and not Thabo Mbeki himself. Yes, the country was near collapse at the period of trsnsition to democracy. Unfortunately, corruption by the big banks (localband foreign banks) in manipulating the ZAR, government officials corruption, organized crime, drug cartels, the EROSION of the township economy (you know who is playing in that space and the Economic SPHAZA-SHOP MAFIA), and the problem of a bloated government human resources. A country where the government is the biggest employer while it's not pursuing industrialization cannot grow beyond 1%. Couple this with rising inflation and Welfare Economics then you are brewing a disastrous future. We can engage more later 🤞
