Yes this is exactly why I placed my laundry room and dryer on the bottom level of an exterior wall in my house i use a stainless steel vent pipe with a vent open close air hatch that opens when air is being pushed through and closes once it stops

Better yet! Have laundry built on exterior walls, and tell homeowner is a must! Instead of having laundries in their closet and in the middle of the house running 35 ft or more
