Born and raised in North Van and have lived thr last 20 years in Maple Ridge. I go to the Sunshine Coast several times a year and stay on my friends sailboat. In 5 years, I plan to sell my place and move to Pender Harbour/Madeira Park area or Powell River. Its just amazing there and I hate leaving everytime. You should go to Stonewater and book into the day spa... shower, hot tub, cold plunge and cedar sauna, outside in a private area with a firepit. Its amazing and reasonably priced. You dont need to stay there to go

There is over 40,000 islands on bc coast and some amazing inlets. There is some great places close to horseshoe bay ferry Bowan island and Sechelt
