MISTAKES I MADE ON MY CONTENT CREATOR JOURNEY - PART 2 (this was a few yrs ago when I first started content creating) I got an email from what I thought was Eloquii asking me to become an influencer for their campaign. I was over the moon. I celebrated, told people close to me, and genuinely thought I had landed another huge opportunity. After some back and forth, they asked me for a monthly payment. I did some research and found out it was a scam. I felt completely ashamed and humiliated. It wasnt bc I didnt get the partnership, it was bc I felt so stupid for falling for it and I told people close to me about it and celebrated this fake milestone. That day, I picked up some peanut butter pagipopo rolls from my friend Pare's fundraiser to cheer myself up. I told her I was having a rough day, and she gave me the biggest hug. I completely lost it right there in her driveway, holding my pan of pagipopo 😭 Looking back, I don’t just see the shame of the scam. I see how God met me in my embarrassment. Through my favorite comfort food, in my friend’s driveway, with the biggest hug I desperately needed. No matter how silly or stupid our reason for being sad is... God cares about it. He never wants us to feel ashamed, humiliated or embarrassed & He takes the time to comfort us no matter big, small, important, unimportant or silly it may seem to us or to others. Hes just always there. 🫶 I also know what to look for when receiving emails from potential scammers + tbh theyre the real ones who should be ashamed and embarrassed.
