We did 3 kids in Japan, in July/August. 5,3&1. Don’t stay more than 4 days in Osaka. The Hilton in Kyoto is amazing, great spot. Hyatt in Shinjuku also great. Travel pram a must!

We did Osaka aquarium, team labs in Kyoto (he loved that), sky observatory in Tokyo, lots of shrines, monkey mountain in Kyoto. Japan is one of the most kid friendly places ever! Also 7/11 was our best friend for snacks.

I have some videos on this!! If you haven’t booked accomodation for Osaka yet, I can’t talk highly enough of namba oriental hotel!!! It is in the BEST location, the buffet breakfast is the best I’ve ever had in Japan and so toddler friendly. The hotel has a commercial laundry free for guests to use which is so handy for travelling with a toddler so your clothes don’t get ruined. They also do a “happy hour” every afternoon for a few hours, free unlimited alcoholic bevvys for the adults and a pancake machine for the littles!!!

I took my 22 month old to Tokyo. We tried to include a green space for each of our days. I had been to Tokyo before so happy to miss out on some of the bigger touristy attractions. Happy to share the parks we went to and what they were near

I took my baby last year when she was 18 months old. Universal Studios was her favourite- she loves Sesame Street and they have a Sesame Street section! Also Osaka Aquarium! It’s so toddler friendly there that we are heading back in just over a month 🥰

We just got back from Japan two weeks ago. Hundred percent used our Kmart carrier with the hip section we use the carrier so much use the Kmart pram. It was so good because you can fall down really quickly and it’s nice and light sometimes Hubby had to carry the pram and her daughter up and down the stairs. Honestly don’t do the trains. I regret it so badly. My daughter hated them in Tokyo and we’re just paid the taxi fees because they weren’t that expensive in Australian dollars like the most we paid was $90 for over an hour because my daughter was so over it, it helped my mental state just paying that extra for a taxi. Don’t pack as much as you Japan is so well equipped and you can get everything there. I packed a bunch of toys. My daughter didn’t really use them. She preferred the tablet or literally just watching around watching Japanese people. Not sure if I said it but my daughter is almost 2.

Been to Japan 3 times with our toddler 🇯🇵 Highly recommend the Tokyo science museum, Skytree, Skytree Aquarium and Art Aquarium Museum in Ginza. Asakusa is also very family-friendly, and Skytree mall has a kids’ play centre. I’d skip Osaka Aquarium with a pram, it was way too crowded and hard to move around.

We went to Japan last year with our best friends and their 18 month old (at the time). Japan is soooo family and baby friendly! You will have to find elevators in every train station which can be a bit of a pain, but they’re everywhere. There’s heaps of malls (Parco is the main one) with family rooms, and if you’re by yourself, sometimes you can go to the loo and have a baby seat right in front of you. Lots of people in Japan love babies too so you’ll definitely have people waving and smiling at Remy! AirBnBs with cots are available too and we found that great. Reach out if you have any other Qs!

If it’s going to rain when you’re there, buy a rain cover that’s designed specifically for your pram and if you’re going to theme parks, I’d highly recommend paying extra for the fast passes. Wait time for some rides can go up to 2-3 hours and imo it’s not worth waiting that long with a toddler.
