Kenny was involved in Dirty Dancing. First I learned he worked with Michael Jackson after being a Descendants fan for a long time now I learn he worked on Dirty Dancing?

The very first time I actually paid attention to the introducing credits of dirty dancing and saw Kenny’s name I was flabbergasted. Like “surely they can’t mean the same Kenny Ortega as High School Musical?” Cause in my little brain Dirty dancing was an old movie a classic but old 😂

I think we really don’t understand and appreciate the trajectory of people that are behind the production in entertainment like, we really don’t know how much Kenny has done

Yes because I’m 50 so when my niece showed me High School Musical and I saw his name I knew the dance scenes would be top tier. There is video somewhere of Kenny doing Patrick’s part at the finale. 🥰

And he directed pretty much all the iconic episodes of Gilmore Girls. I think 11 or 12 of them, but the best ones

He worked with Miley on the meet Miley Cyrus tour and if you notice one of her dance numbers is extremely similar to the final dance in dirty dancing. That’s how I found out he worked on both.
