Huge thanks to @Chessnut for sending us a self-moving smart chessboard for the castle. This room now has old castle walls, a restored pine floor, an antique-style table… and chess pieces that move by themselves like the castle just unlocked a future update. But before that, we had to survive dust, sanding discs, a very dramatic floor, and a varnish smell strong enough to wake up every ghost in the building. Under all those years of dirt, we found a beautiful pine floor hiding underneath. A perfect little mix of old architecture and future technology inside the castle.
