When I told my lymphatic therapists that dry brushing not only hurt me but made me unbelievably ITCHY, they recommended a jade roller! It was the first lymphatic massage that didn’t hurt me! The one I have is super cheap and comes in a pack with larger body Guasha as well as face Guasha tools as well which were also recommeded for at home lymphatic massage. They also recommended another type of exfoliation, and I mentioned I’ve been using my Korean washcloth for a couple of years and they also said that would be a really good beginner friendly way to dry brush! Instead of using it dry, use it in the shower with soap and water with the same movements in the image. I love my large one because it saves time in the shower getting SO much more washed with less time and it helps me reduce injury risk with my hyper-mobility! My legs gets really heavy, swollen, discolored, and itchy after showers because of my chronic venous insufficiency, so the shorter the showers for me the better. The image on the screen with directions on how to dry brush is the one that was provided for me by my OT (to clarify my little movement at the end is the dance trend). Perhaps it’s the lipedema or my chronic venous insufficiency that is causing these issues, but the point isn’t to fret on the cause, it’s to find what works to help me feel better! As I find out what that is, I will continue to share what works for me, in the hopes you find what works for you! Oh and if you’re a chronic illness girlie you can relate to this little behind the scenes tid bit. I absolutely was wearing pajamas before filming this, RIPPED THIS OUTFIT OFF after recording this as fast as possible, and put my pajamas back faster than you can spell lymphatic without using autocorrect (why is that word so hard for me to type all the time??). #lymphaticdrainagemassage #guasha #lipedema #drybrushing #pcosprincess
