Fish&chips🐟🍟 Crunch on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth fish on the inside with thick, golden chips🍴 You need: 🎣For the Fish: •2 boneless white fish fillets (I used pangasius, but cod, haddock, or pollock work well) •Salt, pepper , dry garlic(garlic powder) and paprika to taste •2-3 tbsp of all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)(regulate the amount basing on the batter consistency) •1/2 cup (120 ml) cold sparkling water or beer •Optional: 1 tsp of cayenne pepper (for extra flavor) •Oil for deep frying (vegetable or sunflower) 🥔For chips: • potatoes •Salt, to taste •Oil for deep frying (vegetable, sunflower, or canola) 🥄For tartar sauce: •pickles •onions •mayonnaise •mustard •salt, black pepper, garlic powder How to make: 🐟Fish: 1. Prepare the Batter: •	In a bowl, mix 1 cup flour and salt (black pepper, dry garlic and paprika). •	Gradually whisk in the cold sparkling water or beer until you get a smooth, thick batter. •	Let rest for 5–10 minutes. 2. Fry the Fish: •	Heat oil. •	Pat the fish dry and dust with flour (helps batter stick). •	Dip the fish into the batter, let excess drip off, then carefully place into the hot oil. •	Fry for about 6–8 minutes, turning once, until golden and crispy. •	Remove and drain on paper towels. 🍟Chips: 1.Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick chips. 2. Boil for 5–7 minutes, until just tender (they should hold shape but be soft at the edges). 3. Carefully drain, and let them steam dry for 10 minutes. This helps them crisp up later. 4. First fry: Preheat oil and fry chips for about 4–5 minutes (they should be soft but not colored). Remove and drain on paper towels. 5. Second fry: once they cooled a bit, fry them again until golden and crispy. 6. Add salt on top of ready chips. 🫙Tartar sauce: 1. Mix finely chopped pickles, onions and dill with mayonaise and mustard. Add salt, black pepper and garlic powder. #fishandchips #fish #fishchips #britishfood #britishfoods #tartar #chips #chipsathome #frenchfries #friesathome #tartarsauce #friedfish #friedfishrecipe #fishrecipe #dinner #DinnerIdeas #dinnerwithme
