I’ve been selling on eBay for 23 years and I feel like it has changed very little. It’s almost archaic for sellers. The fees are now at 39%. I don’t see them changing anything any time soon— they’re too focused on the live sales now and the rest of us are chopped liver.

I only Facebook could take care of buyers. I made 3 purchases so far with thier buy now option. all of which have been scammes when requested help from Facebook, there's no such thing as a getting in contact with a human being. Just emails to customer service with no response and no solution

That’s why LLM‘s are willing the universe because you get instant answers and research and access to the Internet and not some Google landing page that you have to look through and click through that’s why Google searches are down 65% already due to LLM’s changing the way humans interact with the digital universe. Craigslist and eBay were created 30+ years ago or longer at this point and outdated and obsolete Facebook has just built a Facebook marketplace, added Muse to their whole digital environment to connect everything from Social to marketing to Sales to algorithms and everything in the world.

The app is just ok, it has fewer features than using Marketplace. If FB really wants to convince me they care about sellers they would fix their AI flagging and the appeal options. The only options to appeal a flagged listing are "it's not offensive in my region", "I posted to raise awareness" and "it was a joke". None of which apply to selling in any way.

Facebook Marketplace is useful for local buys in a similar way as Craigslist, but absolutely useless for buying anything that needs shipping. The number of scammers is so many that you can’t trust that you’ll receive what you buy and frankly don’t wanna give random sellers your address incase they are phishing. Which many are.

LLMs Kan Kan reproduce eBay in no time at all and do it much better than eBay is doing it themselves. This is the major problem facing Enterprise level companies that are built pre-AI they need to re-tool every single website that’s ever been built and so does everybody else.
