I feel like a lot of this is just "People think theyre a lot more original than they actually are" Happening over and over again. Even the people in the comment section are reaching with their examples of their own ocs being "stolen" or "copied". Sometimes we think something has never been done before and thats just not the case! There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of artists. We *will* think about things similarly or make something close to eachother. Its just what you do with it that makes it yours. I doubt Miyoho is going to someones 50~ 200 follower account and thinking: yeah I want that oc.

i've said this before and i'll say it again: I promise you the chinese game company is not scouring random eng posts to 'steal' your niche oc, some designs are more obvious and bound to be repeated given they basically have a formula to begin with.

My own oc from 2022 is based off an orca, has black and white colours, was capitano’s apprentice in the military she then left to travel the world and came back to work for Capitano as a mercenary. You can now picture my shock with danica. This is her. At least her name’s Aaria, not Danica.
