the control skill is only meant for bosses that are weak to armourers. it's a little tricky to tell but there is a difference. it does the purple flash and then the parry that starts the control skill is yellow. I think as of now the only bosses to have this gameplay is the new story boss meant for Claret on the current active deadly assault and the other is the boss for deadly assault's hard mode, but correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I feel ZZZ is doing too much “new” when they still need to shore up and fill in the “new” stuff from seasons 1 and 2. Like, we’ve got 2 new elements (and before anyone starts, you have to get completely different mats for luminous elements so you can’t say it’s not an “element”) and a completely new class. All while Rupture is just kinda left there, defense is useless outside the rabbit, and we haven’t had an A rank drop since the start of season 2. There are practically twice the number of limited S ranks than A, and that is insane (especially from a lore perspective. You’re telling me that two random Idol kids are in the same power scale as Obol squad? Really??)

i mean it was one of the armorer's selling point so to not retroactively add it to all control bosses is pretty dumb especially since there'll be more elements added to the class later on, now though on the other hand they could have limited it to test it out seeing the reaction of players but hoyo has never added stuff to older content so 5050 honestly
