@carthatcar: NASCAR tempers absolutely exploded at Bristol Motor Speedway. After late-race contact sent Ryan Blaney hard into the wall, Ryan confronted Carson Hocevar following the race—and the confrontation quickly turned into a fight. Carson threw two punches, Ryan went to the ground, and crews rushed into the middle of the chaos. The incident started with forty-three laps remaining as Ryan and Carson battled near the front. Ryan believed Carson simply didn’t lift and wrecked him. Carson said he was trying to cross underneath Ryan, was hard on the brakes, and believed he had position on Ryan’s left rear. The stakes made the situation even more intense. Ryan had led more than two hundred laps and won Stage Two before the crash ended his night. Carson continued and finished third, while Joey Logano eventually took the victory. Afterward, Carson revealed something almost unbelievable: he said this was the first time he had ever hit anybody. Now NASCAR is reviewing the post-race confrontation to determine whether penalties are warranted.
