From the guardians perspective every thing was normal until the first green lantern got his ring and then later absorbed the entirety of the power battery. The second created maintained and protected an entire bottle planet. The third rebuilt his entire body with the ring. The fourth became a white lantern which hadn’t existed before him. The fifth became the inheritor of a ring from an entirely different dimension which was evil and kept trying to convince her to do bad shit. The sixth inherited a ring that didn’t even actually exist.
