WHO IS SHE❓ Catholics love her. Muslims honor her. And even ancient cultures have remembered stories of a mysterious woman associated with motherhood, purity, and compassion. But who is she❓ One evening, a young man named Franklin was sitting outside a church. He had heard people arguing about Mary. 😯“Catholics claim Mary belongs to them,” someone said. 😲Another replied, “Muslims also speak about Mary with great honor.” 🥸Franklin became curious. “Then who really is Mary❓” 🥸He opened the Bible. And there she was—not a goddess, not a powerful queen, but a humble young woman from Nazareth. 👼The angel Gabriel came to her with an extraordinary message: “You will conceive in your womb and bear a son.” — Luke 1:31 👑Mary did not demand a throne. She did not ask for riches. She simply surrendered herself to God: 🛐“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.” — Luke 1:38 And that humble “yes” changed history. ☦️Through Mary, Jesus Christ—the Son of God—entered the world. 🤱The Bible tells us that Mary herself proclaimed: “From now on all generations will call me blessed.” — Luke 1:48 🫡And those words became a reality. 🌹Catholics call her Blessed Mother, because she is the mother of Jesus. 🌹Muslims also speak respectfully of Maryam, and the Qur’an gives her an entire chapter bearing her name. 🫡But there is an important Catholic truth: 🤱Mary is not God. 🤱Catholics do not worship Mary. 🤱Catholics honor her because God Himself chose her for a unique mission in salvation history. 🤱She always points beyond herself. 🌹At Cana, when the servants faced a problem, Mary said: “Do whatever he tells you.” — John 2:5 ❤️That is the heart of authentic Marian devotion. Mary does not say, “Look at me instead of Jesus.” 🤱She says: “Look at my Son. Do whatever He tells you.” ☦️She stood beside Jesus at the beginning of His public ministry. 🥹She stood beneath His Cross when many others had fled. And after the Resurrection, Scripture shows her praying with the disciples as the Church awaited the Holy Spirit. So, who is she❓ 🫡She is Mary of Nazareth. 🌹A daughter of Israel. ❤️A humble servant of God. 🤱The mother of Jesus. The woman who said “yes” when God called. ☦️And for Catholics, a spiritual mother whose life teaches us one unforgettable lesson: True greatness is not found in being powerful before the world. It is found in saying YES to God. 🫡Perhaps that is why her name continues to be remembered across centuries and cultures. Not because Mary tried to make herself famous— ☦️but because God chose a humble woman, and through her humble “yes,” the Savior entered the world.
