Since we are al different and coming from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions, we also see and read the word differently The same as we must not mourne like thrres no hope Yes, Chirsybis, the comforter amongst all comforters I personally still believe that mourne has to do with losing someone the cold hand of death Yes, we all sin and fall short of the glory of God and absolutely nothing to do with mourning Just my personal view and understanding, and I dont say that your pastor is wrong with his own understanding. Thank you to ur Pastor for a different interpretation of this Bible verse. The word of God can be interpreted in so many way depending on how the Holy Spirit revealed it to the person. So I’m my opinion the fact that you understood it to be about death is not wrong. I mean that is why God said after Jesus passed he will send His disciples a comforter. Which He did. So during death those who mourn get comforted by God thru the Holy Spirit.
