I was the safe space for my younger brother 10 years ago basically when he came out as trans (F2M). My brother was the safe space for me when I came out as Bi-smexual this year during pride month actually.

My oldest was nervous when he came out as nonbinary, and we just hugged him. Last Christmas he came out as trans by making an illustration of himself with a trans flag, said, “Now you have two gay sons!” (My youngest is pan). My brother is gay, so my kids grew up knowing that and seeing how he is accepted and loved.

🛟 So my brother came out in college. I already knew. He didn’t know I knew. When he came out to me I was already part of Rocky Horror. (I was Columbia) I had gay friends. I told him I already knew. He passes for straight. He was surprised I already knew. He is still my best friend. We have traveled the world together. He is the best. I’m an ally. Here for all. Keep looking we are here for you. I try and be a safe face and space for others by being there when they need it.. I've had a few teachers that were safe faces and spaces for me.. they never judged me and helped me learn the subject in my way.
