As a Coventry fan, I do hear you. We were robbed of a place in the FA cup final thanks to a very dodgy VAR decision where the alleged offside line actually went OVER the United players foot. Make it make sense!🤷🏼♂️We’re new to the prem and VAR and I’m sure it will bite us at some point too. Swings and roundabouts. Yes, it technically was a foul yesterday, but I agree with you about the lack of consistency.

I’m a forest fan and it’s not a penalty our goal shouldn’t have been disallowed neither full stop it’s not a foul getting your foot stood on it’s a contact sport if people want a non contact sport go watch basketball in a game of football you WILL get stood on I agree it’s the inconsistency that’s the issue

Thing is and I get it but we wanted that to be a pen. We can’t be pissed off because something we said was a foul has been given as one but against us. The Andy Robertson goal last season, Liverpool were furious about it but then Murillo (or Igor, can’t remember) scored against them in the same circumstance and they kicked off about it after already saying it needed looking at. The consistency, albeit is very questionable but these decisions are what fans ask to be put right and when they are but against them we all cry wolf.

I think most fans are pissed off because of the lack of consistency. if its a foul in one game it has to be a foul in every game, we just want a fair playing field

Issue has never been Var itself more referees have just become worse as years are going forward. Too much mini laws with laws for them. It was much better in past hits hand = handball, offside it’s offside, players don’t help thou divers & cheaters. Ps Forest were dog awful yesterday

we had a similar incident v west ham on Neco, not awarded a penalty. it's more the inconsistencies than just yesterday. that guessing it was handball against spurs was more annoying

Agreed. Referees make mistakes. It’s annoying but it’s part of the game. When VAR gets it wrong it feels inexcusable. It’s a massive ballache. Just bin VAR.

Cov fan. It’s a foul. But it is SO inconsistent and VAR is ruining the game. And yes it was very soft. If the shoe was on the other foot I think you’d call it a foul (though you didn’t say it wasn’t, I know). Think both sides could have been aggrieved whichever the outcome.
