No no cornrows are absolutely fine. Just make sure that they are smedium, not too tight and moisturised. I retain the most length in cornrows. But all those extravagant styles that I see people do.. cause breakage 🫣

i did the opposite and im 2 years in thriving....twist and cornrows grew my hair. keep them in for 8-12 weeks and never wash my hair with them in. I take them out the day I get them redone. I think what works for you won't work me same vice versa. we all have our own experiences and knowledge for what worked.

👏👏 I think any style that entails a lot of manipulation is bad for you. The best style is the African one that uses wool 🤷🏾♀️or maybe twists. Anything else I would do once in a while. Wash hair weekly or x2 a week. I’ve done that for a year and my hair has grown so much … moisture treatments and once in 3-4 months a bond treatment with a trim that doesn’t change the curl pattern.

oil doesnt grow hair. its a sealant. cornrows are a great protective style if dont correctly your hair growth is predetermined and is influenced by genetics,lifestyle and health....

It’s all genetics just keep it moisturized and do whatever you can to keep it from breaking off keep heat off it sleep on silk pillow cases quit wearing stuff on it all day let it breathe I cut my wicks off two years ago my hair grew back before I could even decide if I wanted to re attach them …….good luck on yalls journeys bless up
