@downinnadesert: Three baby raccoons were rescued after getting trapped inside a dumpster for hours during 109° heat. Arizona DPS troopers were helping train recruits at the Western Arizona Law Enforcement Academy when they heard scratching and whining coming from a dumpster in the parking lot. When they looked inside, they found three baby raccoons that had climbed in but couldn’t get back out. Recruits told troopers the raccoons may have been trapped since that morning’s training session, meaning they could have spent hours inside without food or water as temperatures climbed to 109°.
