One year ago today, I saw two pink lines. After years of infertility, multiple miscarriages, countless tears, prayers that felt endless, and wondering if I'd ever hold another baby in my arms, God answered in the most beautiful way. That was the day we found out about Samuel. I'll never forget the emotions I felt. Joy... followed almost immediately by fear. I didn't know what the future would hold. After experiencing so much loss, I was terrified that I would lose him too. Every ultrasound, every appointment, every week that passed felt like another gift from God. I prayed over him constantly, asking the Lord to protect the little life growing inside me. Now, a year later, I look at my sweet boy and can't believe how faithful God has been. Pregnancy wasn't easy. Postpartum hasn't been easy either. There have been hard days, exhausting nights, moments of anxiety, and seasons that stretched me more than I ever expected. But even in the hard, I have never doubted God's goodness. Today I look around at my home, my husband, my children, and especially Samuel, and I realize something that brings tears to my eyes... I'm living the life I used to pray for. The prayers I cried through years ago are now the life I'm living today. If God blesses us with one more baby someday, I will receive that gift with overwhelming gratitude. And if Samuel is the last baby I ever carry, I will still praise Him with my whole heart. Because every child He has entrusted to us is a miracle, and His plans have always been better than anything I could have imagined for myself. Thank You, Lord, for hearing every prayer, collecting every tear, and remaining faithful even when I couldn't see what You were doing.
