Since it seems like time to officially introduce myself: I'm Lindsay Braman, I make doodle-style illustrations that translate research-based mental health concepts into simple, accessible visuals! More than just #positivity - I think art can be a research-grounded tool for #recovery and healing. I doodled my way through becoming a #therapist , but discovered that my passion is making mental health information more accessible through art. Patrons make it possible for me to create, dream up new resources, and bring them to life! 3-4 times a month, there, I post either visual summaries on emerging research, theory-based printable resources for psychoeduation/ coaching, and various printables that people use for self care, self advocacy, or for working professionally with clients.  I've collaborated with researchers from Yale and Johns Hopkins to help their academic work reach wider audiences, and in 2022 I even had the honor of seeing my work added to the collection of the Museum of Modern Art!  I spent this summer working on two really cool projects: 1. A #DBT Activity Book for Visual Thinkers, that helps increase accessibility for people with #neurodivergent minds (like mine!) and 2. the Little Free Art Supply Library that I made for my urban neighborhood in St Louis. The library makes it possible for kids and adults to come pick up free art supplies 24/7.  I also do a Dopamine Mail Club where I attempt to recapture my own joy of sending letters home from came and, with monthly mailers, to dismantle mailbox dread and replace it with the joy of getting mail from someone who cares about us. ✨🌈💗
