Actually, if you learn the different opinions among scholars, you’ll realise there’s a difference of opinion on this. Sertu is specifically for najis mughallazah like dogs and pigs. In the Shafi‘i mazhab, alcohol is considered najis mutawassitah (medium impurity), so you don’t need sertu. Just wash it properly and you can use it as normal. hope this helps! ❤️

Had this experience, drinks lady gave me a tiger beer glass mug for my ice. I requested to change to reusable plastic cups instead.. No fuss 😁 Try ask for those next time.

there is absolutely no need to sertu. only if it's from the contact of pigs, dogs and it's decendents. Islam is simple and clear.

there are 3 Sahih Hadith 1 by bukhari n 2 by muslim that say only sertu when a dog lick our eating utensil. Islam is not difficult.

By that logic, we have to sertu everything. Utensils from a Muslim stall that is used by non-Muslims who have consumed pork using the same mouth at some point in their lives also not permissible. Islam is simple, Malay is complicated.
