@rachel.houtteman: The journey continues but I’m forever thankful it’s with you. Since my D&C I’ve been racking my brain on if and how I wanted to share this news. Over these past couple months, Sam and I have felt every emotion so deeply. The pure excitement of finally seeing that pregnant test, getting confirmation from our doctor, learning there were TWO, seeing them on the ultrasound and hearing their heartbeats, telling family and friends, experiencing food aversions and gaining some “baby bloat” - every little tiny milestone felt big and wonderful. Since that 9th week appointment, I’ve come to realize that miscarriage is extremely lonely. It’s something that everyone experiences and grieves through differently. It feels unfair and heavy, which is ultimately why I wanted to share this journey. I know that we were so lucky to have those two babies join our lives, even if it was for a short amount of time. We will always wish we could have had more time with them and will always wonder what life would be like if they were here with us. One thing I know for sure is that our twins were so so loved and I am confident that when the time is right, Sam and I will get our chance to be mamas. #ivf #pregnancyloss #miscarriagesupport
