One customer enquiry, six steps, every one explained in plain words. customer enquiry usually goes into an inbox and waits. One customer enquiry, six steps, every one explained in plain words. customer enquiry usually goes into an inbox and waits. Here it goes into a workflow and comes out the other end as a clear next step. Every part gets named as it moves, so you can follow the whole thing without knowing any of the tools. The path, in order: Collect. One form: name, contact, postcode, service, problem. Every enquiry starts in the same shape, so nothing important gets lost in how someone happened to phrase it. Connect. The form starts an n8n workflow (say it "en-eight-en"). Think connected tracks. One step finishes, then hands its result to the next. Understand. Claude reads the customer's own words and pulls out the useful details. In this run: drain clearing, postcode 78704, a slow kitchen drain. It organizes the request. It does not book anything. Check. Three business rules, the same three every time. Do we offer this service? Is the postcode in range? Are the important details there? Route. All three pass and the request is marked qualified. Outside the area, missing a detail, or unclear, and it goes to a person. AI sorts, the team decides. Save. Both routes write a record to a Data Table: request, result, reason, next action. A searchable list instead of a thread somebody has to reread. The pattern is the part that travels. Once you can say collect, connect, understand, check, route, save out loud, you can look at almost any process at work and draw it before you build it. And it grows from there: a qualified request could carry on to scheduling, a review could ping the right person in chat, a follow-up could chase a customer who hasn't heard back. Those are next connections, not live features in this demo. That's the skill worth having right now. Being the person who can open the workflow and explain what happens at every step. I teach these workflows step by step inside my community, in the order you'd actually assemble them, with project templates and people to ask when you get stuck. If you want that, the link is in my profile. #aiautomation
