@realmamamu: #Akon just revealed that his brothers used to perform as him during the early days of his career when his schedule got too packed. 👀 With Akon being booked for multiple shows at the same time, his brother Abou "Bu” Thiam would sometimes step in and perform in his place. Akon said fans often couldn't tell them apart, and since Bu couldn't sing, the shows were performed with Akon's tracks playing while he lip-synced. But it gets even crazier. Akon said his other brother Omar would sometimes book shows under Akon's name without even telling him - meaning Akon would only find out later that "he" had performed somewhere. 😭 Akon has said the family now laughs about the whole situation, but imagine buying a ticket to see Akon and finding out years later it was actually his brother on stage. 👀
