I've only used DeepSeek if I use AI to help me solve problems or answer questions since I found out about it over a year ago since it uses less energy and water than US models, but I still use it sparingly. It's really nice that it's free, too.

Finally someone talking sense! This is all about strong holding the government into regulating them on terms that allow them to create a monopoly. The recent so called Anthropic whistleblower Jacob has gone to work for METR an AI threat eval company funded by Anthropics’ investors!! They’re scaremongering to push their agenda. They do NOT care about AI safety, they care about control and securing their position ahead of their IPO’s (that OpenAI and Anthropic have both put on hold btw) so they can justify their ridiculous valuations.
