The lock handles are for transport only. If you lock while cooking it will create pressure and be dangerous to remove the lid as you experienced. That unit is not a pressure cooker with a release valve. Please for safety do not lock the lid unless you are taking the food elsewhere!

I cook for a nursing home - can’t afford (& they can’t eat) steak - anyone make the ‘butter steak bites’ w/ ground beef or kielbasa? I know that’s a different “flavor profile” or can u suggest the cheapest beef (I’m not good @ cuts of meat)🤞🏻
