Off Grid Electrical System Review ⚡️ Unless you’re spending a lot of time at campgrounds, you’re going to need to invest some money into an off grid electrical system for your rig. This investment could run anywhere from a couple thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars depending on your electrical needs. Here’s what makes up our 12V/120V system and what we use it for - Major Components (excluding wires, fuses, breakers, etc): - 600ah Battleborn Batteries - 550W of solar (Merlin & Renogy solar panels) - Victron 3000W inverter - Victron DC-DC charger - Victron solar charge controllers - Cerbo GX touch screen - 15 amp Shore power What we use it for: - all electric cooking - A/C, heat, vent fan, heated floors - hot water - 12V fridge - charging all of our devices This system essentially powers our van as if it was a normal stationary home and we use it that way - we just have to be conscious of how much power everything uses and use or not use it accordingly! In our opinion, you can get by with less than 600ah of batteries if you’re not cooking with electric or using an air conditioner but if you’re doing either of those things 600ah of batteries (or more) + solar and/or alternator charging are necessary. How would you use your off grid electrical system? 🔌 #offgridliving #offgridsolar #offgridpower #campervanconversion #vanelectricalsystem #tinyhomeliving #campervanelectrics #battlebornbatteries #victronenergy #solarpowered @Battle Born Batteries @Victron Energy
