“This is racist!” It really isn’t, and it’s because of the CONTEXT. Black people don’t want a black only server because we think we are superior or that other races are less than us, wanting a black only server is an attempt at a safe place. Time and time again in online communities and fandoms black people face tones of racism almost out of nowhere and are the butt of the joke. A good example is the anime community. We simply want a space where we can have our interactions, have our fun, without being shamed for our skin. Where we can interact and just be people with others acting like we’re somehow disturbing the peace just for being a darker shade of brown. Yall compare this to segregation but that was made out of hatred and dehumanizing, this is made of oh just wanting to feel normal
