Because what happened to me should have been enough. Because no one should wake up to their safety being stolen from them. After a night out, I went to bed believing I was safe. I woke up to someone on top of me, taking advantage of me without my consent. No one should ever have to experience that. And yet, stories like mine don’t always end with justice. Too often, people accused of rape walk free—leaving space for more victims, more trauma, more silence. This isn’t just about me. It’s about every person who has been hurt and felt like their voice didn’t matter. I am speaking because silence protects predators. I am speaking because survivors deserve better. I am speaking because this system has to change. If you’ve been hurt, you are not alone. Your voice matters. And you deserve to be heard.
