The tendon-driven architecture is designed to reproduce more natural hand motion while enabling fast and precise manipulation. The Linker Hand L30, for example, features a high-DoF tendon-driven design, with LinkerBot listing 21–22 degrees of freedom depending on configuration and finger speeds exceeding 400°/s.
