i think the main problem is the very corrupt government, Bulgaria is pretty much in the same boat so i understand what you're saying, here in Bulgaria instead of overthrowing the corrupt government people choose the easy way out and decide to leave abroad seeking comfort and better wages instead of fighting for something (here's example of roads funded by EU money that were most likely almost all stolen)

They do migrate to Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. In fact they go all the way to countries like Zambia and South Africa. They’re running from the mess they created in Somalia and going into Bantu countries while carrying extremely anti Bantu mindsets with them. If other Bantu countries start xenophobic rhetoric like Kenyans are starting to do and copy South Africa, it’ll be a really bad thing for Somali migrants.

As we talked abt this earlier as Sumales are quite homogenous although the clans act almost as if they were separate ethnicities, I think this could be due to the geography of the Somali peninsula, mostly semi arid and with a pastoralist background as well contributing to the behavior and attitudes of the people almost exacerbating the tribalism and thus all your issues that go into general incompetence at least for the Sumale people. This is not be picking on one group as all Africans are equally incompetent with their issues overlapping. But I do find it rather interesting if the somali peninsula were as green as say oromia or the Ethiopian highlands given your OP positioning it would’ve done you wonders.

There are a few things wrong with this post. Firstly, there are plenty of somalis that choose not to go to the U.S./UK/EU. The majority actually go to neighboring countries like the ones you mentioned.
