that is terrible advice especially to people who really need a job in this market. do i feel anything about anyone bringing a coffee or a matcha or a kadak chai? no mate idc. but if you are a young grad or unemployed you unfortunately have no leverage in this situation. if you're employed and simply interviewing to test waters, sure do whatever, but if you really need a job, please don't give these recruiters more variables to make unwarranted judgements on you.

it doesn't have to be the number one priority in your day. but just know you're not the number one priority in their day either. they get a quick snapshot of who you are and they're putting that snapshot up against the snapshots of the other people who are trying to get this job.

I hope yall heard her. If an interview for you, is just another errand in your day, go ahead and get two coffees infact. Of course if that interview is the difference btw you and homelessness and starvation pls abstain frm coffee the day before just in case. Everybody’s got their priorities

as someone who used to conduct tons of interviews and hire ppl, the only times ive rejected candidates is from inexperience on their resume and 1 person ripped a vape in my face mid sentence. ive had ppl bring in coffee/drinks, dress odd, swear, mess up answers. idc about any of that. it comes down to.. how much effort is it going to be to train you and do you seem reliable. the vape thing was just nasty and deeply rude imo.
