CT’s notch at the top, the Southwick Jog (actually two, but the one on the border with Longmeadow MA is way smaller) has an interesting history too, and the legal settlement of that dispute was very influential in the creation of what would eventually become the state of Vermont. They actually considered naming Vermont “New Connecticut” at one point 😂
