I empathize with this so hard. As a kid I specifically remember people asking my dad if he was baby sitting me. One time my kindergarten teacher kept me behind the desk and wouldn’t let him pick me up from school until I swore multiple times I knew who he was.

I saw this with a friend of mine who was mixed and looked more black, but her mother was white with red hair. We worked at a grocery store in high school school and her mom came in once looking for her. And the manager didn't believe it was her mother then her mother saw me and I had to verify that it was. I was like this is insanity. I'm sure that happened 1 million times for them.

This is actually awful. I’m so sorry you went through this. My son has definitely grew into more of his ethnic features but he was a very pale baby lol I’ll never forget I did a wic commercial with my son for breastfeeding, Texas human health posted it to their Facebook and the comments were filled with hate comments about a black woman breastfeeding a white child. People are insufferable.

I’m not biracial, however I was a very light skin (white skin) baby. My mother is a dark skin chocolate woman. You know how many times she was asked if she’s the nanny? It’s crazy that people really ask others this.

I had a similar experience when I was younger. Until I was older then my dad used to get questioned and I got alot of adopted or foster allegations. Now when I’m out with my dad people think we are dating 🤢
