Jazzie :
Jason is a ROMAN soldier son of the King of The Gods who's been training since he was three. He should not be "on par" with Percy, he should be way stronger.

If percy can control blood, jason should be able to control human nervous systems

I love Percy but I always think abt how it would’ve made more sense for Jason and Thalia to be stronger than him… like their godly parent is literally Zeus

Jason should’ve gotten more love but I don’t think Percy was well written in HOO either tbh. Bro lost all his aura from og series

Jason should've actually rivaled Percy where even the reader wouldn't fully know who could win between them. But too much favoritism for Percy and even who we were supposed to see as a "threat to his power" gets knocked out every three chapters.

He's afraid to write characters stronger than Percy, so he simply doesn't develop them, sad for Nico, Jason, Thalia, Bianca, and Hazel.

Forget the demigods. Zoe was a titan with the blessings of Artemis yet she and her thousands years of experience were mostly useless during the quest.

fr but it could be that one theory where percy is both the roman and greek son of poseidon/neptune? like all the other big three gods have atleast 2 children, one greek, one roman, eg thalia and jason, nico and hazel. and the siblings all have one aspect of their power that theyre specifically good at, like nico controls the undead while hazel is jewels and stuff, while thalia is thunder and jason is flying. but percy is the only son of the sea god, so its possible that he represents both the roman and greek sides of poseidon, so he has like double powers?? like there was a theory that percy is both roman and greek, with him speaking random latin in lightning thief, and him picking up everything quite quickly in SoN. im sure theres like more evidence to support the theory but i cant remember anything rn😭

The thing is, he literally and clearly can't write characters stronger than Percy, he just can't. Jason, Thalia, Hazel, all of them should be more powerful than him, but Rick can't make them be

C'mon guys let's be real. Jason could never be better than Percy because Ricky is a coward and can't let his precious baby Percy be outdone. Oh the horror
