I agree with the cop’s statement that the driver could have made the situation go a whole lot smoother by simply providing her ID. That being said, the officer could have made things go just as smoothly by simply showing her the LiDAR reading they said gave them probable cause for the stop in the first place. Cops are always so quick to say, “If you just cooperate, this will go so much better for you,” but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one actually practice what they preach after saying it. Cooperation goes both ways.
