For anyone concerned about the methanol, I actually went deeper about into that fact. Turns out our body produces a lot of methanol even from our average diet. If not taken in a pure form, the liver pretty easily processes it. For example a medium-sized apple produces around 25 miligrams of methanol and 250 milliliters of tomato juice can produce up to like 100 miligrams. And to actually get methanol poisoning you'll need to drink like 500 cans of diet coke (but you'll die from water poisoning faster)

UK is technically more accurate, but I feel like saying it contains Phenylalanine is more direct and reduces the chance of misunderstanding (though one would hope that whoever it applies to would do their research and learn what to avoid and why)

This is a logical simplification for the consumer. It's like what's done with lactose-free milk, for example. All the lactose is still there, but an enzyme has been added that's typically missing in lactose-intolerant people. But the effect is about the same as if there was no lactose there.
