Feeling far from God? Reconnecting with God begins with believing the Gospel that Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and offers salvation as a free gift of grace (Romans 3:23–24, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, Ephesians 2:8–9). When you feel distant, ask the Father in Jesus' name for the Holy Spirit to guide you (Luke 11:13). Following God's will means pursuing sanctification, giving thanks in all circumstances, and keeping your eyes on Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:3–8, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, John 6:40). Daily life requires walking by the Spirit to produce good fruit rather than indulging sinful desires, while taking care not to quench the Spirit but actively fanning into flame the gifts God has given you (Galatians 5:16–24, 1 Thessalonians 5:19, 2 Timothy 1:6). Because the Christian walk is a journey rather than instant perfection, repentance is an ongoing turning from sin and a turning to God. Though the righteous fall seven times, God faithfully cleanses those who confess their sins and extend forgiveness to others (Proverbs 24:16, Matthew 6:14–15, 1 John 1:9). Through regular prayer and the Spirit's power, believers are transformed to live in loving obedience while eagerly awaiting Christ's return (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Titus 2:11–13).
