When tthe ocean first formed it was twice as large. Also the world was almost entirely a seaworld. And to top it off, the mountains we have today didn't really exist or were as huge as they are today because plates were brand new and volcanoes were only just beginning to prosper.

But that first one you can clearly tell it is a fossil from appearance because a dead calcium carbonate shell is not black 😭 that’s a different mineral, my guy. That shit IS fossilised
