@sarahschulerr: How to build the life you want for your family when you can’t afford it yet. 🤎 1. Stop waiting for the “right” season. As moms, there will ALWAYS be something. A baby not sleeping. Sports every night. Laundry piled up. A house that needs cleaned. I didn’t start because life suddenly got easier I started because I wanted something different for our family. 2. Stop only asking how you can spend less. Start asking how you can earn more. There’s only so much you can cut from the grocery budget. Learning skills I could use from my phone gave me another option one that could actually fit INTO motherhood instead of taking me away from it. 3. Give yourself permission to be new at something. You do not need thousands of followers. You don’t need to be “good at social media.” You don’t even have to show your face with some income streams. You can literally start as a mom with a phone, a willingness to learn, and pockets of time throughout your day. 4. Your current bank account doesn’t get to decide your family’s future. Maybe the vacations aren’t affordable right now. Maybe you’re tired of checking the account before saying yes. Maybe becoming a SAHM feels impossible. Maybe you just want breathing room. Where you are today doesn’t have to be where you stay. 5. Protect what you allow into your mind. If you constantly hear “that won’t work,” eventually you’ll start believing it. Be around women who make you think, wait maybe I could do this too. 6. Stop comparing your chapter 1 to another mom’s chapter 20. You don’t see the months she made nothing. The posts that flopped. The things she had to learn. The nights she questioned herself. Stay focused on what God put in YOUR hands. 7. Let God change what your “dream life” looks like. I used to think success looked one way. Now? It looks a whole lot more like being PRESENT. Slow mornings. Being at the games. Not asking permission for a day off. Contributing financially while still getting to be Mom. Sometimes God doesn’t give you the life you pictured because He’s leading you toward one you never knew was possible. 8. Remember: starting over isn’t starting from zero. You’re bringing every hard season, every lesson, every skill, every mistake and every prayer God has already carried you through. Mama, you don’t have to be able to afford the dream life today.
